Helping Hands Against Violence, Inc. is dedicated to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking by providing safety, shelter, advocacy, education and outreach.
Through the past 36 years Helping Hands has developed from an entirely volunteer run safe-house network to a strong community agency with two facilities. The Chrysalis House is a 30-day emergency shelter for women and their children who are escaping abusive situations. The second facility is the Young Women’s Center, transitional housing for women, and their children, ages 18-24 who have been victims of crime and would otherwise be homeless.
