Want to be part of the biggest smallest town 4th of July parade in the Gorge? You’re welcome to roll along with other floats along the parade route, join the Husum Yacht & Canoe Club Kazoo Band, parade in a costume with the hula-hoop hula dancers, or just observe the craziness as a spectator along the 1/8 mile parade route.
As the parade passes by everyone will join in and follow along to the end of the route where we all turn around for the arduous .1K MicroMarathon (yes, that’s point 1K), complete with water stop and a huge group photo at the end.
Afterward everyone will retire to the Taste of the Gorge for free hot dogs and no-host bar before heading to the White Salmon July 4th Parade and Concert in the Park. It may be the best way ever to celebrate this great country in this magical place we live.
